A six-week screen-free club in the medieval world — told aloud from beautiful books, talked over together, and made by hand. Tuesdays 4–5 PM, grades 2–5.
Castles and quests, a sword in a stone, a round table where everyone has a seat. The medieval world gave us some of the most stirring stories we have — tales of honor, fairness, and standing up for the small.
Across six Tuesdays, your child enters the age of knights: drawing the sword with young Arthur, learning the code of chivalry, riding out on the quest, laughing along with Robin Hood, and standing beside Beowulf against the dragon. Brave stories, gently told.
“Children leave with a real sense of what it means to keep a promise, treat others fairly, and be brave when it counts.”
Chivalry in child-sized terms — honesty, courage, and kindness to those who have less — drawn from the knights themselves.
From Robin Hood to the Round Table, tales where doing the right thing is the real adventure.
Shields, crests, and quests made by hand — the kind of deep, absorbed play that screens can't offer.
Each session is told from a beautiful book, talked over together, and brought to life by hand. The stories build week on week — and the showcase is the payoff.
Note: the club pauses for Thanksgiving week, so the six weeks run back-to-back on either side of it.
Every club sends children home with something real in their hands — and something lasting in their heads.
No glowing screen at the end of the day — just stories told, things made, and an afternoon fully lived.
Every session is told from a richly illustrated book — so children have a picture to look into as they listen. The screen-free opposite of a glowing tablet.
A medieval celebration where every child has a seat at the table — they share their quests and crests, and families are warmly invited. Date announced soon — mark it early; it's the warmest afternoon of the club.
