A six-week screen-free club in the ancient world — told aloud from beautiful books, talked over together, and made by hand. Tuesdays 4–5 PM, grades 2–5.
Long before there were books or screens, there were the stories people told around a fire — of gods on a mountain, of heroes who were brave and clever and sometimes foolish, of a long, winding journey home. These are the tales that classical education returns to for years to come, and they are simply wonderful to be told.
For six Tuesdays, your child steps into the ancient world: meeting the gods of Olympus, cheering Heracles through his impossible labors, outwitting Medusa, and sailing the long way home with Odysseus. No worksheets, no screens — just a beautiful book, a warm circle, and stories that stick.
“By the end, your child knows the great tales of myth by heart — and can tell them at your own dinner table.”
The cast of myth — gods, heroes, and monsters — that classical readers meet again and again, learned the joyful way: by being told.
Heroes who are brave, clever, and gloriously imperfect — so children absorb perseverance and wit from the inside of a story.
A full hour absorbed in one beautiful book, with a picture to look into — the screen-free opposite of a glowing tablet.
Each session is told from a beautiful book, talked over together, and brought to life by hand. The stories build week on week — and the showcase is the payoff.
Every club sends children home with something real in their hands — and something lasting in their heads.
No glowing screen at the end of the day — just stories told, things made, and an afternoon fully lived.
Every session is told from a richly illustrated book — so children have a picture to look into as they listen. The screen-free opposite of a glowing tablet.
